The cultural aspects of each community are integral to the local library. The community defines the character of their library, and the value that they place on many aspects (such as those that you suggest) make serving a unique community truly valuable. There are pros and cons about losing the public display of previous users. In general I certainly do miss ways of doing things that increase the experiential aspect of using the library.</description>

		<description>The nitty gritty of which systems you all are using is a bit beyond my ken, but I really appreciate the look that comes in part 2 at the way using these different systems changes the cultural experiences of being in a community, by having a visual connection to others who&#039;ve read a book, to suddenly being an anonymous reader, say. This question may be dumb, but do you all miss card catalogs ever for that reason, the cultural experience of browsing, the visual experience of handwriting, the personality of it, and, perhaps the accessibility of it? Congrats to Jessamyn and her colleagues for their incredible work and to Adam for letting us see it!</description>
